Registered Nurse and partner of a cosmetic practice since 2006. He was a member of the Health Education England expert group that developed qualifications for cosmetic procedures and proposed the concept of a ‘Joint Council’, and became an inaugural Trustee of the newly formed JCCP in 2016. He provides technical advice and guidance to the JCCP Chair, Trustees and stakeholders, including Environmental Health and Trading Standards officers in their investigations. As Chair of the Practitioner Register Committee he is responsible for the appropriate registration of practitioners within a framework shared and approved by the Professional Standards Authority; he is also Co-chair of the JCCP Clinical Advisory Group. He supports the JCCP Chair in working with professional and statutory regulators and government administrations, and provides independent technical expertise to bodies including the United Kingdom Accreditation Service and the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
